IMPRESSED
First, i am not a HP fanatic and after learning about their printers and agenda towards the current digital printing age, i am really impressed. I have learnt alot about printing today, things i never knew about it as well. CMYK has a certain degree to what a normal printer can print today. But with HP's Indichrome inks it matched up to nearly 90%++ of the charts so i think thats particularly impressive already. I have not seen other printing brands or machines but somehow i got a feeling that HP is one of the top competitor in this area. Particularly about what we learnt today is that printing today has been narrowed down to a one process stage and requires lesser time and effort to produce which means lesser labour cost and higher deliverance proficiency. What really caught my attention is the introduction to one to one direct mailer. The "designers" would customized the mailers and then send it via online to the printer's webpage and make the orders through their systems and of course pay through their credit card. Okay lets talk about customizing, firstly people are bored and uninterested in most mailers or what we can refer to as junk mail so the solution to this would be cultivating data from customer's habit and encourage customers to buy things that they want by advertising to the customers what they wanna see and not things they would shun and get irritated by. Secondly, personalization meaning having the mailer warmly conform to customer's comfort for e.g having to see your name on an advert. Well don't you think that its very pleasing to feel recognized? haha glutton for fame i say. But it works, when you feel good you pay attention and if most of the time you will be tempted to buy the promoted product or whatsoever and REMEMBER the mailer is customized to your taste so it does not matter if your name is printed on it, itself is already something that attracts you. Let me give you an example of this (using name to attract) technique, which is me always telling people i own Charles and Keith but in reality obviously i don't haha..But i always get the kick out of it by doing so. So in conclusion it is obvious that another era of new digital age is evolving and we have to constantly adapt to our new technologies in order not to lose out. Well, new ways are always the way to go and get them attention mate !.
